The 8th International Water Association (IWA) specialist conference on natural organic matter (NOM8) will be held in Boksburg, South Africa from the 3rd December to the 8th December. This conference, held back to back with the Particle Separation Conference, is a platform to share the latest scientific and practical knowledge on natural organic matter in diverse water environments, such as drinking water, wastewater, and recycled water.
The event will be held at the Birchwood Hotel in Johannesburg, South Africa, and will begin on Wednesday afternoon and end on the Friday. There will also be overlapping sessions between the two conferences on the Wednesday. Professionals and engineers from various sectors are welcome to participate.
The Particle Separation Conference will cover advances in particle science and characterization, basic mechanisms of particle separation processes, the occurrence of, and changes in, natural and synthetic nano- and micro-particles in surface waters and wastewaters and their impact on treatment processes. In addition, progress in particle removal technologies, such as coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, flotation, filtration and membrane processes will be discussed, as well as emerging technologies for particle removal.
