The 12th International Conference on Residual Stresses (ICRS-12) is a unique event that brings together scientists, students, and engineers from around the world to explore the prediction, evaluation, control, and application of residual stresses. This event is a continuation of a successful series that has been held in various countries since 1986.
This conference offers an opportunity to delve into the measurement, modelling, and utilization of residual stress/strain data, with equal emphasis given to both the scientific and engineering aspects. Participants can explore topics such as the influence of residual stress fields on distortion, material response to loading, damage initiation and propagation, component performance, life and failure, as well as method development and burning issues of great current interest, such as stresses in nanosized systems, stress analysis using synchrotron radiation, and multiscale approaches.
