Founded in 1884, it is the fifth largest fair in the State of California and is held under a 50-year lease with the County of Fresno. Representing the 21st District Agricultural Association, an entity of the California Department of Food & Agriculture Division of Fairs & Expositions, the Big Fresno Fair is a year-round rental facility spanning 165 acres.
The Big Fresno Fair is far more than just an annual event. It is a destination for the entire Central Valley, attracting more than 600,000 patrons each year. It is also home to over 250 annual events, including two year-round satellite wagering facilities - The Starting Gate at the Fairgrounds and The Polo Lounge at Club One Casino in Downtown Fresno.
